Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership

Are you interested in learning more about organizational dynamics and leadership?  The Graduate Certificate in Organizational Leadership Program (GCP) is designed for professionals who desire to learn more about leadership development from a biblical perspective, but who do not desire to enroll in a full graduate degree program.

InstructionParticipants represent a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, including supervisors, project leaders, program administrators, principals, directors and assistant directors, as well as managers and analysts. 

The GCP is well suited for mid-level professionals who may be in a role of supervising others, setting policy, establishing benchmarks or strategic direction for an organization and/or those who aspire to move into a managerial or executive position.

You may choose to enroll in the GCP Program for graduate credit, or you may choose to pursue the non-credit Certificate in Organizational Leadership.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of the program, participants will understand how to assess an organization’s culture and environment, how to improve organizational effectiveness, where and when to use certain leadership styles and approaches to improve performance, and how to more effectively supervise and manage personnel and teams.

Course and Credit Information

The GCP is comprised of a total of 15 credits.  Students will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the program. 

  • In ClassFour graduate level Organizational Leadership Courses (2 core and 2 elective options)
  • One Bible course (Advance Standing may be awarded to those who have previously completed Bible/Theology courses at a qualifying institution)

Students who choose to continue toward a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Degree may do so. Credits from the GCP will fulfill the requirements of the Organizational Leadership Program. 

What courses will I take?

  • ORL 601: Art and Practice of Organizational Leadership
  • ORL 602: Philosophy of Leadership
  • Two Organizational Leadership Electives of your choosing
  • BIB 601: Introduction and Interpretation of the Bible

Non-Credit Option - “Certificate in Organizational Leadership”

This option is designed for those who do not need to obtain graduate credit, but want to learn more about leading people and problem solving in their organizations.   Participants follow the same program requirements as above but register as audit students paying reduced tuition.  Upon conclusion of the program, students will receive a Certificate of Completion.
