Langhorne PA: May 16, 2009. Graduates across the country are preparing to receive their respective diplomas, celebrating success hard sought after. In Langhorne, PA, Philadelphia Biblical University prepares its own students for this year’s spring Commencement Ceremony, taking place on May 16, at 10:00 a.m. Approximately 160 students will graduate from Philadelphia Biblical University, 50 of which will receive a dual degree in both Bible and a chosen professional field of study.

During this year’s commencement, Philadelphia Biblical University will confer an honorary Doctor of Religious Education to Michael, recognizing him as a profound contributor to the PBU community, significantly challenging students through his music, writing, and lecture. PBU students will be performing one of Card’s songs “Jubilee” during the commencement ceremony.

Michael Card began a relationship with PBU nearly two years ago as part of their annual lecture series on the Arts, Christianity, and Culture. Dr. Todd Williams, President of the University, has expressed his gratitude for the contributions Michael has made to PBU, stating “I believe that his best years of ministry are yet to come and that his presence on college and university campuses across the nation and around the world will be used of the Lord to teach students the importance of authentic Christian faith and worship.”
